It's been a while since our last post so there's quite a few updates to share. Firstly, at the end of 2014, after several meetings and emails, we were very kindly offered sponsorship for 2015 by not only Bodyflight Wind Tunnel, but also our home DZ, Skydive Chatteris. We are extremely grateful for such amazing support and opportunities from both organisations and we're hoping with their help we can really do them proud.
However, at the start of the year, it became apparent that due to work and lack of time and money, Robynne would be unable to compete with the Chicks this year. It was a really hard decision/fact to face, but with the support of the rest of the team, we decided that rather than stopping all training with Robynne, we would share our hour of tunnel a month between flying with her and flying with our new/alternate Outside Centre. And speaking of new OC, we were very fortunate that our talented camera flyer Ro kindly agreed to fill in for this season.
So, where does that leave us now? Well, we have started training hard for AAA category. We've already had two 2-on-2 sessions with Steve Hamilton and Pete Allum of UK Tunnel Camp (very beneficial training!) and next weekend we shall be competing at Bodyflight World Challenge for a third year, this time in AA Class. We're also lucky that with it being a bank holiday weekend, Robynne will be able to compete with us! We love this competition and are looking forward to celebrating its 10 year anniversary in style. Hopefully see you all there!
And some more really good news from the camp. Sarah has recently just recieved her FS Coaches rating and with Tanya and Vikki not far behind her, we will be offering coaching one weekend a month at Skydive Chatteris, available for recently qualified students through to those who want further experience in FS. Robynne has yet to reach 200 jumps but will still be around to help out with the coaching and jumps until she too has her rating. We will also be available for coaching at Bodyflight Bedford. If this is something you're interested in then get in touch. Otherwise, keep an eye out on facebook for updates on when we're at the DZ for coaching.
We'll be back again in just over a week no doubt with news from Bodyflight World Challenge!
